RESEARCH

How it works?

Research & training

Currently, very little is known about how sleep impacts other medical disorders in the South African population. In the absence of local sleep research, we have to rely on data from the USA or Europe, which shows that any sleep disorder significantly increases the risk of other medical problems.

Restonic showroom

In addition to the clinical, research and training facilities on offer, the Restonic Ezintsha Sleep Clinic offers a comprehensive Restonic showroom. Research shows that quality of sleep can be influenced by light and noise levels, temperature, and, of course, comfort. One of the biggest comfort factors is one’s bed and mattress.

Choosing the right mattress based on your body weight, sleep position, and whether you prefer lying on a soft or firm surface, can promote better sleep and minimise or even prevent pain.

Patients, medical professionals and visitors are able to view a select range of Restonic beds and mattresses and to get assistance with:

  • Information on bedding and comfort terminology
  • Finding bed options to meet specific preferences and requirements
  • Explanations of various mattress and bedding innovations and technologies

Other sleep-related equipment, such as CPAP machines and snoring mouth guards, are also available, including information on suppliers or more information, get in touch.
